Strengthening our strategic vision through geopolitical risk training

We took part, together with AMF SAFETY SHOES, in a Geopolitical Risk and Strategy training session promoted by the Instituto da Defesa Nacional, in a moment of reflection that is particularly relevant in today’s global context.
 

The session took place at the emblematic Castelo da Foz do Douro, providing a unique setting for strategic thinking and discussion.
 

Led by Jorge Rodrigues and Mário Estima, from Porto Business School, the session challenged us to look beyond the immediate and to frame business activity within a rapidly evolving global landscape.
 

Throughout the session, we explored topics such as the new world order, the emerging geopolitical era, future uncertainties and risks, and how geopolitics directly impacts corporate decision-making. We also examined problem-solving approaches in unstable environments — an increasingly critical capability in a world defined by volatility, complexity, and accelerated change.
 

The presence of participants from both companies strengthened collaboration and strategic alignment, fostering a more integrated perspective on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
 

In a world where unpredictability has become the norm, investing in knowledge and critical thinking is essential to anticipate scenarios, adapt strategies, and make better-informed decisions.
