On February 24, together with APICCAPS, will take place at the Crystal Palace in Porto the public signing ceremony of the Portuguese Shoes Green Pact, which will be chaired by the European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevičius. This "Green Commitment" follows the Action Plan for Sustainability, launched in 2019, which was delayed due to the pandemic.
About 100 companies, at the invitation of APICCAPS and the Footwear Technology Center, sign the Portuguese Shoes Green Pact in Porto - publicly assuming the commitment to work consciously.
Within several entities and references Aloft has won prominence in the world of sustainability and, therefore, Aloft's CEO - Pedro Castro, will be present not only as a guest but also as a speaker on the New Generation of Products.
These 100 companies, which represent about nine thousand employees and 800 million euros of exports are committed to halving their emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, according to the targets set by the United Nations and the European Commission.
Let's change the world, together.
