We welcomed University of Minho students for an advanced simulation project

We recently welcomed a group of students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade do Minho to our facilities, as part of a research project focused on developing innovative solutions for the industry.

The goal of this project is to create a computational simulation model capable of analyzing the behavior of soles across different types of surfaces and levels of grip, including demanding conditions such as wet floors.

This model will allow for a deeper understanding of sole performance, opening the door to predicting behavior in different scenarios even before certification processes take place. This represents a significant step forward, with the potential to complement traditional testing methods and accelerate the development of safer and more efficient solutions.

The initial concept of the project and the visit to our facilities were led by our CEO, Pedro Joaquim Castro, and our Mold Manager, Fernando Moreira, highlighting the strategic importance of this collaboration.

We believe that strong connections between industry and academia are essential to drive innovation. By opening our doors to new talent, we are also creating opportunities for research, experimentation, and the development of new solutions with real impact.

We aim to remain at the forefront of innovation by investing in knowledge, technology, and collaboration.

This is how we believe the future is built.
